Mr. Dorsey "Biggin" Dale Fine's Obituary
Mr. Dorsey Dale “Biggin” Fine, age 73, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in White Pine and was a long time mechanic in Newport.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gladys Fine; sisters Dean Smelcer, Betty Parks and Pat Smith; brothers Dealous Fine and Freddy Fine; niece Connie Dean Fine; nephews Mike Smith and Shawn Smith; father and mother-in-law Dolphas and Jeanette Hale; brother-in-law Beacher Hale.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years Edith “Poke” Fine of the home; daughters Tina Trentham of Newport and Christy (Eric) Snapp of Russellville and son Robert “Sam” (Lesley) Fine of Newport; grandchildren Amanda and Tony Colin, Morgan Fine, Jonathan Fine all of Newport and Austin Snapp of Russellville; great grandchild Sean
“ My Boy” Colin of Newport; brothers Jim (Diane) Fine and Delmer Fine all of Newport; brothers-in-law Jake (Karen) Hale and Jay Parks all of Parrottsville; sisters-in-law Lodema Wilburn, Faye Haney, Kathy (Mike) Self all of Newport, Crickett Russell and Marie (Gene) Widener all of New Market and Dorothy (Dwight) Wilson of Bean Station. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of very special friends including Karen "Pout Baby" Baxter.
The funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, July 14, 2017 in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Spurgeon officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens for the 10:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at Costner-Maloy prior to service.
