I enjoyed working with Mrs. Turner at CCHS. She was always very kind to me.
Dear family, Mrs. Turner was SO VERY SPECIAL to me! She taught me so much more than just math when she was my 9th and 10th grade algebra teacher; she actually became my best friend at the school! Because my dad's family was from her hometown of Del Rio and she had taught my dad in the early years of her teaching career, we had a special connection. She took this scared, shy young girl under her wing and greatly boosted my self-confidence. I often visited her at school and even at her home for years after I graduated because I loved her so much. I even stayed in touch with her by phone after she moved to Knoxville. What a special person she was!! We need more people in this world like her, and she will surely be missed!! My prayers are with you all.
Mrs. Turner was one of the BEST teachers I had at CCHS and such a nice person. She helped me write the Graduation Invocation (1980) and I still have it to this day. I loved her and am so sorry for your loss.
I had Mrs. Turner for math and worked for her in the freshman guidance office at CCHS. I always loved her. Her family are in my thoughts and prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Louie is a special lady and will be missed.
Mrs. Turner was a respected and caring teacher and a wonderful friend during my high school years. One of my strongest memories of my time with her was having lunch together. She always had a healthy lunch like a sandwich with some carrots and celery. It always looked so delicious. A strange thing to remember I suppose bit it's a good memory of a wonderful lady. I've thought of her often over the years.
Sorry for you loss in our prayers.
I'll never forget Miss Louie letting me sing "this Old House" for her at Punkton school even before I was old enough to go to school. She was a very special lady to me. I will be remembering your family in my prayers. Doris Messer Stokely
